Quarry Life Award

I was fortunate enough to have a project proposal get up for the 2016 Quarry Life Awards run by the multinational company HeidelbergCement (Hanson Australia). I’ve spent the last few days and nights surveying the frog populations at a sand quarry in Clarence, NSW and some reference wetlands around Lithgow and Clarence.

This is the third Quarry Life Awards since 2012, and provides an opportunity for students/researchers to conduct scientific research primarily related to biodiversity and the role quarries may play in maintaining and enhancing local biodiversity.

I will post updates as the project progresses.
